Olaotan Adeola Agunbiade is the Chief Executive Director of Health is Wealth Water & Environmental Sanitation Trust (HIWWEST), and the Founder of Philanthropic Hospitals for Poor Sick Nigerian Children Foundation (PHPSNCF).

Agunbiade is an environmentalist committed and dedicated to child healthcare, preventive healthcare, environmental preservation and sustainability. He is a highly motivated individual building a high-profile career in the Public Health sector, showcasing skills developed through previous leadership and team roles including interpersonal effectiveness, communication skills, time management, presentation skills, and adaptability.

Education & Professional Development

Agunbiade is currently working on a second Master's degree in Public Health in the United Kingdom, the first being in Ukraine. As a Babcock University Biochemistry major, he developed a keen interest in Customer Relationship Management and Project Management, taking multiple certification courses contributing to the advancement of his chosen profession.

Professional Experience

He has handled contract jobs as a Quality Assurance Consultant, documenting and auditing new and existing company Standards of Procedures, ensuring work processes met ISO Certification standards. Agunbiade possesses excellent communication and data entry/analysis skills with premium input on negotiations and other relevant work processes.

Vision & Commitment

The prospective Public Health Specialist has a burning desire for the actualization of Sustainable Development Goals 6: access to clean water and sanitation for all - the most basic human need for health and wellbeing.

Adebola Olusegun Agunbiade is the Co-Chair of HIWWEST and a 1989 Honours law graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990.

Career Journey

After his completion of the compulsory 1 year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Abuja, FCT the following year, he immediately proceeded to Lagos State where he was born and raised to take up employment with Metaloplastica, a multinational company as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser, a position he held till 1995 when Metaloplastica went under receivership.

Mercy Emetejife Onoriode was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1993. She is an Academic Director and Head of Academics at the Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus.

Focus & Impact

She is one of the facilitators of Clinical Legal Education at the Nigerian Law School and chairs HIWWEST with primary focus on environmental sanitation activities. She is also a trustee of Gambit Chess Club, a club that trains prodigies in schools.

Chike Mofunanya holds a Bachelor and Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Abuja.

  • Played a key role in consolidation and alignment of banking activities during the 2005 merger of UBA and Standard Trust Bank
  • Instrumental during the emergence of electronic banking solutions that reshaped the entire banking industry
  • Responsible for deployment and services of Automated Teller Machines (ATM) and Point of Sale (PoS) terminals
  • Served as Head of Acquiring Business in UBA before departing to private practice
